What better place to have the Durango Ragtime and Early Jazz Festival than in the heart of the Old West where still the cowboys amble about, saloon girls melt hearts, and the ragtime can be heard playing out onto the streets of this old mining town—Durango, Colorado—known as one of the most scenic and diverse places in the world. For three days, the historic Strater Hotel will be filled with the sounds of old ragtime tunes and the beginning of early jazz by an assorted group of the best ragtime entertainers in the world—from young to seasoned and spirited to swanky. Festival goers will enjoy informative and fun music sessions given by the entertainers, dance lessons, silent movies accompanied by live ragtime music, dueling pianos, after hours parties, food and festivities, and more, including a Farewell Sunday Brunch in the Diamond Belle Saloon. We look forward to the second annual Durango Ragtime & Early Jazz Festival in Durango, Colorado.
